Opal Mai (Hibdon) Jones

Ms. Opal Jones, 82, of Woodbury passed away Monday, February 16, 2026 at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro. Born in Smithville, she was the daughter of the late Vernon “Abe” Hibdon and Vernie Hale Hibdon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jones and her sister, Margie Youngblood.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Monica Jones of Woodbury and her grandson, Brent Jones of Woodbury. Opal was a member of the Woodbury United Methodist Church and was the owner of Woodbury Flowers along with her husband, Carl, for 44 years. They enjoyed clogging with the Bank of Commerce Cloggers, traveling to many places with Lions Club International. Opal also enjoyed working crossword puzzles, cooking, collecting Danielle Steele Books and she had a collection of over 400 Rooster pictures, figurines and other memorabilia.

Memorial visitation will begin Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. The family welcomes you to stop by and share memories with them to reflect on.
